Valentine’s Day Party Tip #1: Create A Spread Everyone Will Actually WANT To Eat

When I’m planning my food, the biggest factor I consider is the guests’ tastebuds as well as the theme. If you’re forced to choose between the two then guests’ tastebuds come first! This is because you may buy a lot of food that looks absolutely amazing and matches your theme, but none of your guests actually touch the food. Le Mirage not only produced a super delicious spread, but it matched the theme perfectly!

Valentine’s Day Party Tip #2: Provide Easy To Serve Food

You don’t have to throw a feast for a Valentine’s Day party (unless you really want to). You can create a lovely spread your party goers can munch on as they socialize and have fun with the activities. This makes your job easier as a hostess! Make sure you include ‘snacks provided’ on your invitation, so your guests don’t come expecting a full course dinner.

Here is a brief list of easy to serve food ideas that are always a hit:

  • Charcuterie board
    • Meats, cheeses, fruit, crackers, dips, and vegetables
  • Meatballs (provide mini forks or toothpicks they can pick up the meatballs with).
  • Chocolate strawberries
  • Macaroons – sometimes Costco comes out with seasonal heart shaped macaroons that are tastier than the macaroons they carry year-round).
  • Chocolate fountain
    • Include strawberries, rice crispies, marshmallows, pineapple, banana, and cream puffs (you typically can buy cream puffs in the frozen section of your local grocery store).

Valentine’s Day Party Tip #5: Stage Musical Ambiance

When there’s background music, your guests feel like they can speak openly. The music eliminates the awkward silence in conversation.

However, you’re going to want to proof the Youtube video on your TV way ahead of time to get through all of the commercials. That way when you reset the Youtube video to the beginning, you’ve already skipped all of the commercial on the video to avoid interruptions during your event.

Bonus Food Tip

High tea birthday party

At a tea party, our guests had a great idea of adding whip cream and fresh raspberries to their heart shaped macaroons! They made cute little sandwiches that tasted even better than the original dessert! I wouldn’t recommend you make these ahead of time because the whip cream melts too fast, but it makes for a creative social activity during your party!

And there you have it! Another Le Mirage Apartment’s party in the books! We love attending their events as they are the ultimate hostesses over there! Huge thanks again to Le Mirage for creating such a special occasion for everyone to enjoy!
