New York Sunset Cruise & Central Park

A New York sunset cruise can leave you with swirling emotions of wonderstruck views. Stepping onto the vessel, we watched the sterling, silver skyscrapers fade into a soft, salmon, pink hue as our vessel rocked gently against the North Atlantic waves. Sipping ginger ale in fancy wine glasses, we felt at home surrounded by the urban empire. In that moment, New York became our home away from home. An expensive home, yes, but a home nonetheless.

Sunset Cruise

Classic Cruise Line, Manhattan 2

The sunset cruise we took with Classic Cruise Line was among the biggest highlight moments of our trip! As we stepped up to the harbor, we were surrounded with excited guests dressed up for a night out on the water. Boarding the Manhattan 2 with great anticipation the vessel gentle rocked back and forth within the safe harbor of Chelsea Pier.

I hadn’t been on a boat since 2019 when I sailed the Harvey Gamage, and this experience couldn’t have been a more pleasant welcome back! Fall decorations hung from the roof inside the boat and the space had large windows on all sides, so you could see the scenery from every angle.

Central Park

After being in Texas with no fall colors, Central Park was a big to-do on our trip. I’m happy to say the New York fall aesthetic mixed with the crisp morning air left us awestruck. Next time we 100% plan to rent a boat to go out on the water and enjoy the day from a different point of view.
