Best Romanticize My Life Tips & Bonus Challenges

Are you stumped on what to do this year to make 2024 the most romantic year yet? As winter is leaving us, I’m thinking more and more about the big things I’ve done in the past as well as what I want to do in the future to help build memories with family and friends.

In the past, I’ve shared the little details that make an everyday routine special, but today I’m SO THRILLED to share with you the bigger events you can do to make a memory! 🙂

This post is all about how to romanticize my life

During the intense heatwaves that make us crave for cooler autumn evenings, switch a sunny picnic day for a starry night. Pack a beautiful meal, carefully lay out your favorite candles, and dine under the stars for a wonderful romantic adventure!

Purchase a projector on Amazon and a projector screen to display the image onto. Summer nights are when my husband and I would cherish night under the night sky as we’d watch our favorite movie or tv series.

In Montana, he would back our pickup truck to our white trailer which we’d use as our projector screen. I’d decorate the back with blankets and pillows and make us popcorn and hot chocolate! The experience is burned in the back of my mind as some of the best memory makeres

When the movie is over snuggle deep into the cozy nest you built yourselves and star gaze as the music plays to the ending credits. I never want to skip this step because you two can talk about the movie plot, look for constellations, and just breath in the clean night air. Heaven! Genuine heaven!

Nothing sounds more blissful than a group of friends laughing together as they build their own centerpieces! You can purchase the vases ahead of time and all equipment they’ll need. Choose to provide the flowers yourself or ask everyone to bring some of their favorite flowers to make their own lovely creations.

Have snacks for the women to eat as they create their centerpieces, but later have a dinner right afterwards where all of their beautiful creations get to be part of the decor!

This is a game my husband and I have a blast doing! We’ll run up close to the receding waves and then see who will stand their ground the longest before running away from oncoming waves to avoid getting wet. Let’s just say I’ve lost more than once! 😉

Let me help paint an image for you: It’s a warm summer night and the air is just perfect, you put on a long, flowing dress that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a Pride & Prejudice novel, and you bring your favorite person on a moonlit adventure! Have the Pride and Prejudice soundtrack playing in the background as your ambiance.

Teatime creates the perfect atmosphere for delightful conversation and memory making. There is actually a big difference between afternoon tea and high tea. Both will include the tea and tasty treats. However, high tea will have a full course meal while afternoon tea does not. Invite your friends over and give them a fun afternoon tea experience to remember.

Go beyond the limits of an afternoon tea and throw a royal high tea! We are really into hosting these, so if you want a helping hand to learn how to check out our blog post on How To Throw An Epic High Tea.

My aunt brought me to my first art class! Wow, I can’t recommend this experience enough! It was $20 and they teach you how to create a watercolor painting from beginning to end. I found it to be so much fun with the background music, the teacher walking us through the steps, and getting to see everyone’s artwork at the end. Lots of fun! I would 100% love to do this again!

Edison lights hanging in droopy loops across the patio ceiling, gnocchi soup cooking in a cherry red Dutch oven and focaccia bread fresh out of the oven! The scene feels complete with fragrant aromas only an Italian kitchen can bring and relaxing instrumental music from Italy playing in the background. This was a go-to romantic event for me and my husband when we had a backyard, and we just may go back to it again! I love when my husband cooks his Italian dishes, and nothing makes us feel more in the moment that pretending we’re in Italy! I’ve linked our go-to soundtrack below for this dinner evening:

If you’re in a landlocked state, don’t scroll past this option! If there is decent sized lake, then you’ll want to Google if there is a sailing association in the area. I’ve raced at multiple sailing events in landlocked states and no one in our community really knew about it. Not all, but some landlocked states have sailing competitions like hidden gems.

You can go to a sailing event and find out who the main coordinator is. Ask them if they know of anyone who needs crew on their sailboats and they’ll ask the captains if anyone is in need of crew. You don’t always get on a boat, but if you too come with the heart to learn and work! The captain and crew take these races very seriously, so hopping on a boat will mean you’re racing. Are you a newbie? No problem! Just disclose that information at the beginning, so they’re prepared to give you an easy job.

Do you and your friends have sewing machines? Time to bring them out and have a sewing party! Whether it’s a mini fabric craft you’re making or an outfit, this is a super fun time to hang out and learn together. Pick a craft or outfit you all agree you want to do together and have the women bring their own fabric.

The skirt in the image above was among the first few skirts I’d made when I didn’t know what I was doing AT ALL! In the library there was a craft lab which had sewing machines and I went there to attempt my first skirt. People who helped take care of the craft lab started chiming in and helping me out! They watched the tutorial video with me and wanted to take a crack at it! It was so much fun and we were all having a good laugh as some things worked out and somethings didn’t.

If you want to make a skirt like the one in the above image, I’ll leave you a link below to the best tutorial I used.
