Romantic Oregon Travel Guide That Will Leave You Wonderstruck
Are you struggling to figure out what to do in Oregon? I’ll be the first to admit I had no clue just how much Oregon had to offer! My husband grew up in Oregon, so I had the privilege of being married to the best tour guide!
We’ll take you through a 4-day trip that has plenty of beaches, lighthouses, cheese (yes, CHEESE), tide pools, and a romantic hotel that will leave you literally JAW DROPPED! When I say this is the best trip I’ve had in a while, I genuinely mean it!

The Astor Column
Astoria, Oregon
The Astoria Columns isn’t just an opportunity to get the best view of Astoria, but the Column is backed by rich history. Originally sought to rival the Eiffle Tower, you’ll learn many fun facts about this fun destination on your road trip.
Visit The South Of Jetty
Astoria, Oregon
If you visit Astoria, Oregon you can take a short drive over to see the South Jetty of the Columbia River. In the image above you see we’re walking the rocky coastline near the jetty as it was closed off at the time of year we were visiting. There was the South Columbia Jetty Observation Tower that looked closed off as well, so check ahead of time in the website linked here to see if the tower will be open when you visit.
Cape Meares Lighthouse & Whale Watch
Tillamook, Oregon
Cape Meares is a little lighthouse you can stop off to see on the way to Lincoln City! It’s such a quick stop that offers a great photo opportunity, I would recommend you pull over to check out the view!
Visit Tillamook Factory
Tillamook, Oregon
We’ve been to the Tillamook Factory twice now when visiting Oregon and it never fails to be fun for me! You get free cheese samples, watch a step-by-step process of how the factory makes the cheese, and you can order tasty food and ice cream afterwards! Dairy lovers will LOVE this experience! We got there an hour before closing on a weekday and it was practically dead, so no long lines at all!
Bonus Tip: The Mudslide is INCREDIBLE! We went back for seconds!
Inn At Spanish Head
Lincoln, Oregon
It’s Central Park! How can you miss out on the opportunity to get a photo in such an iconic location? It is just a fall tree behind me? Yes, but this is a ‘Central Park’ tree, so we take a picture! lol 😉
Explore The Tide Pools
Otter Rock, Oregon – Or Lincoln, Oregon
Tide pools are my husband and I’s favorite hangout when visiting the beach! Look for sea anemones, sea crabs, and seashells! Each pool has its own little world you get to explore! The Spanish Head has little tide pools nearby, but they’re not as big as other destinations in Oregon. You can get your fill of mini tide pools right outside your hotel or check out Otter Rock, Oregon for more tide pools.
